Happy Halloween!

It is the best holiday of the year! Candy and Costumes....is there anything better?!
Happy Halloween!

Busy, busy, busy....

Well, it has been a while and I must update you on all the goings on of recent times. First off we had a great launch of the Delta Stereo Mission, which we have been waiting forever to get off the ground. Unbelievably, it went off on the first attempt (someone must have been watching out for me) however, I didn't get home from work until close to midnight, and had to be back at work for 7:30am. No fun, but the successful launch ensured me having a less stressful weekend.
Thursday night, there was a Young Professionals gathering at Pizza Gallery in the Avenues. I love tha tmall because everything is outside and it just has a great atmosphere about it. The meet and greet was a success as always but man, now that so many people go to these things it is impossible to win any of the gifts given at the end of the evening ;-) Normally, Yp buys your first drink at each event but this time it was 2for1 at Pizza Gallery so bonus for us. There were lots of new people there too, which is always good. So, in a nut shell, a good time was had by all.
Friday night, Jill, Rene' and I ran the Pumpkins in the Park 5k in Cocoa Village. I really wanted to run this one because it is in a great location and the weather is just perfect for running right now. However, with my track record of launches and runs coinciding at the same time, I was really afraid I was going to miss another one. Take that running gods, I was able to run it even though it wasn't my best time. In our defense, we haven't run consistently in a while because schedule conflicts have been so random. Not an excuse for the future runs, we are getting back on it. Check out a few of the pictures....yes we are dressed as angels. It is Halloween people get in the spirit!
So, Saturday my friends Mike and Christy got married at the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn. I was really looking forward to this because I knew it would be a great time and I really want to see these two kids happy. Plus a wedding on the beach, open bar and good food who can refuse. She looked barefoot and beautiful and I have never seen him smile so much (not really sur eif it was the liquor talking). Some other people from work were there and we actually had a great time talking and laughing. Not necessarily what I expected from some of the guys I work with. Rene' and I had to leave early so we could get home to put our costumes on and head up to Titusville for what was to be a great party.
Onto the next leg of our night, Rene' is already toasty and I am definitly feeling happy. Donned in our best armed forces attire we headed to Titusville. The guy who puts this party on, basically invites the entire Space Center. He has 3 acres of backyard, 3 full bars, a dance floors, port-a-potties and everthing. This place looked great. And what a good time it was. Just what I think everyone needed. Perhaps we needed it too much because I was not feeling great on the way home and things for Rene' were a little hazy the next day. But we were a hit and just enjoyed a great party. Check out the hot chicks in uniform ;-)

It is someone's special day!

Today is not only Friday 13th, but it is also the anniversary of the day Jillian Walsh was born. For all those who don't know Jill is a good friend of mine whom I met in TX and worked in the same department. Ironically, she is from LI too and lived not too far from my grandparents. Small world right? Well, I am lucky to have her in my life now! Wish her a fabulous birthday if you see her!
HAPPY
BIRTHDAY

Superheroes, weddings and sunsets

Time to update! Ok so it has been non-stop for the past two weeks. I am not sure where the time went but I know sleeping wasn’t an option most of the time. Where to begin, well lets start with me trying to squeeze a weeks worth of work into 3 days so I could get off for Mom and Gary’s wedding. Not fun, long hours and cranky people, perfect right? And this after 2 weeks of launches, landings, scrubs and weird hours. Ok, enough work complaints because this week we will be receiving our much needed bonuses and I can maybe start looking at new cars a little more. Car shopping is fun, however car buying is stressful. I am going to look but no touch until absolutely necessary. Alright, back to the point at hand, Jimmy, Linda and Nicholas came in Thursday for Mom and Gary’s wedding. I was so excited to see them. I couldn’t wait to hug and kiss and squeeze little Nicky and hang out with Jimmy and Linda. Truth be told, I was going to do so much fun stuff with them that they would want to move here ASAP….on a side note, they did find a development in Viera that they really loved and are really considering, yeah! I took them over to Sunset Grill for lunch and atmosphere where we talked, drank and laughed. I could sit out there all day but alas, the mid-afternoon rain showers snagged us again. It is just as well because I had planned a little family dinner that night out at Grill’s in the Port, so I took them to their hotel and let them relax for a bit.

Grill’s is always a fun place to go. It is right on the water in Port Canaveral, they usually have good music and a huge tiki bar to chill at. Unfortunately, the rain again hampered our plans and we had to eat inside but were able to enjoy the deck afterward. It was really chill and Gary and Mom enjoyed having all the kids around. Man, at this point I am already exhausted but Jimmy cannot come to town and not hit the Dog n Bone. So off we go with renewed energy to enjoy some spirits and good times. Well, Jimmy decides he wants to play darts. Great right, well, I thought we would play not that we would play against guys that are good. Anyone, who knows knows that I am not very good and well I proved that in front of everyone, just in case they didn’t know. I am not sure how I did it but I managed to bust the backing of the dart board. Yea, it was classy!

Friday was a fun day at Island’s of Adventure. Rene’ and I just got our new passes for the next 2 years and couldn’t wait to go ourselves, not to mention Jimmy has not been to any of these parks, so we decided that we all should go. Nicholas was really an awesome baby the entire day. Rene’ and I babysat while Jimmy and Linda got to be ten year olds and ride the rides. We took goofy pictures, ate way too much nonsense and just a great day. I am glad I got to share that with them. Now, I just cannot wait until we get to take Nicholas to Disney!

Now on to Mom’s wedding….It really was beautiful. A good old fashioned back yard wedding, complete with dog running out in the middle of it. Jill and Rene’ did an unbelievable job on the cake because not only was it beautiful but tasty as well. Great job ladies! The porch and yard looked beautiful and I have to thank both Rene’ and Nina (that is right folks; Nina is back, making a surprise appearance at the last minute! Everyone was so happy she could be there) for their expert decorating skills. Mom and Gary were both so happy and thrilled that everyone could be there. I think they both had more fun and actually go to enjoy their wedding. Congrats for them!

At this point my hands are killing me from writing all this. I really should have taken a break in between. Anywho, when crazy weeks like this happen it just makes me miss everyone more and more. I talked with Abbey (my best friend from NY who now resides in PA) and it always makes me feel so good or so much better about things when I walk with her. I don’t know what it is but she can tell me things I have already thought about or been told and make me take a step back and look at it again and feel good about it. ß-- that was a ridiculous sentence by the way. Anywho, I have to get up there soon and spend time with her. I haven’t even seen there new house yet. Ok, enough whining I am going back to work now…peace out!
